My Heart Misses ( دلم تنک است )

(For the house that still remembers me)

My heart misses —

even the touch

of the soft, long nap

of the room’s old carpet.

It still holds

the scent of mountain grass

woven deep between its threads,

and hums

with the whisper of young girls

who once wove love

with knots of their living souls,

until the swirling red fishes

of the bowl

turned into dawn itself.

My heart misses

the clear height of the stone fountain,

the gentle murmur

of water spilling

over the glazed edge

of an ancient pool.

And still,

it lingers,

caught in the fine brocade of time —

the delicate silk of termeh

spread across

a plastered shelf of the room,

beneath a mirror

tall as the hope for happiness,

reflecting, again and again,

the little garden of our yard

that always

smelled of spring.

My heart longs

for the rare dwellers of that house —

pure as innocence itself —

and for the child

who vanished

along the narrow streets

of no return,

leaving behind

a heart unbound,

weightless,

left there,

as a keepsake

for eternity.

💬 توضیح بازآفرینی:

• “My heart misses” معادل مستقیم «دلم تنگ است» نیست، بلکه شکل شاعرانه‌تر و زنده‌تری از longing و nostalgia را در خود دارد.
• “Soft, long nap of the carpet” ترجمه‌ی استعاری از «پرز بلند قالی» است.
• “Knots of their living souls” بازتابی از «گرهی از پود جان» است؛ با لحن فلسفی و زنانه‌ی لطیف.
• “Fine brocade of time” معادل استعاری از «ملیله‌های ظریف ترمه‌ای» است — زمان اینجا همچون ترمه‌ای است که حافظه را می‌پوشاند.
• پایان شعر با “as a keepsake for eternity” به‌جای «به امانت گذاشت» حس فلسفیِ جاودانگی را منتقل می‌کند.

✨ ویژگی‌های زبانی و ادبی نسخه‌ی انگلیسی:

1. حفظ ریتم درونی:
   مکث‌ها، ویرگول‌ها و کوتاهی سطرها مطابق با نفس شعر فارسی طراحی شده‌اند.
2. معادل‌سازی فرهنگی:
   واژه‌هایی مانند termeh، glazed pool، mountain grass عمداً حفظ شده‌اند تا بافت ایرانی شعر حفظ شود.
3. سبک زبانی:
   واژگان و نحو شعر، آگاهانه در سبک مدرن اروپایی نوشته شده؛ نزدیک به شعر free verse اما با تداوم موسیقایی.
4. حس زمان و حافظه:
   شعر در انگلیسی، بیشتر به Memory Poem نزدیک است — از نوعی که تداعی و فلسفه را در هم می‌تند (مشابه Heaney یا Rilke).
