The sky
Set a table of stars
Upon the sorrowful purple
Blossoms bloomed
And the canary
In its cage of loneliness
Dreamt of rainbows
When you arrived
The cloud
Donned its long cloak of rain
The acacia tree
Drew its white scarf
Over its head
And the street lights
Came down the path
When you arrived
The heavy latch on the door
Was waiting
The courtyard's stone path
Searched for the memory
Of your footsteps
And the scent of jasmine and tuberose
Stole away the house's sorrow
When you arrived
The black veil of night
Slipped away impatiently
The shadow of dawn
Sprouted on the surface of the mirror
And the heart, yearning for you
Beat restlessly
When your arrival
Only passed through a dream
