The Earth
A wandering planet
Unaware of the moon
Unaware of the sun
Unaware of the trees
Clinging to the rocky spine of the mountain
Unaware of the birds
Nesting on the branches
And unaware of the heavy raindrops
That kissed the bare body of the forest
It was with the presence of man
In the wandering orbit of the Earth
That the canary sang of love
The feverish lips of the red rose
Quivered with shame
The night
Embraced the meaning of restlessness
And the stars
Winking
Slipped into the world of dreams
It was with the presence of man
Only then
That the sky
Witnessed the drunkenness of gods
The breeze
Became a messenger dove
Flying to distant lands
The green plain
With the melody of the wind
Danced gracefully
And the pregnant seed of wheat
Emerged swiftly
From the embrace of the soil
It was with the presence of man
Only then
That spring
Spoke of the colors of life
Autumn
Donned the vibrant cloak of leaves
And the cold of winter
Became the reflection of a heart
In its old age
Wounded
In its final days
On this wandering Earth
Undoubtedly
It was your presence
Only
That gave life to the rivers, the trees, and the rain
In my stories
And marked my restless heart
With a glance
It was only with your presence
